Take my car! The spirit of charity

A bolt of pure kindness has come out of the blue at the Save The Children BlogUp 2012 Conference on Saturday! Kazzam! The bolt of the purest kindness came from Anya from Older Single Mum ( @MumOlderSingle ). Anya has offered me her car for the #BlogitforBabies week to travel around the country in, an offer which I have gratefully accepted.

I am blown away by this super generous act by this wonderful blogger, it is such an amazing offer and lovely thought. It’s the kind of inspirational act of kindness that gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Last week I sat down to work out the cost of travelling to all the places for #BlogitforBabies week by train. Just as I was about to buy the small mountain of train tickets a though sprung into my head – could I possibly persuade a Company to load me a car for that week?

Now not knowing where the dickens to begin I panicked and asked some kind people for help and within a day I have some telephone numbers for some bods who could help me. Then the fear set in! I’m not very PR-experienced and  the thought of trying to pitch the campaign for a car that I would then need to promote whilst trying to keep the integrity of the campaign did make my head spin somewhat. For saving the day and helping us keep the focus of the campaign…
